The documentation project was undertaken in the wake of anti-Bihari violence in Assam in 2004, with support from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
The Foundation instituted a study on "Crime against Property - decoding the role of psycho-social factors," conducted by the Centre for Development and Peace Studies in 2016.
In 2019, the Foundation conducted a detailed survey on the Sattriya skills and livelihood avenues of the Udasin Bhakats (Celibate monks) of Assam. The report was based on responses and interviews from 476 Udasin Bhakats, a group considered an important asset of the state's cultural heritage and humanity.
Apart from the projects mentioned above, three important publications of the Foundation concerning Setubandha and the process of bridge building were undertaken in 2012, 2013, and 2015 respectively.
